Jomka (Johanna Kastner) is a photographer and artist currently based in Cologne, Germany. Her work moves between documentary and conceptual approaches, often exploring themes of belonging, identity and collectivity.

She is drawn to people in their intimate and social environments, subcultures, scenes and generational dynamics, and interested in how shared spaces and temporary communities are formed. Much of her work is rooted in personal connections, blending analogue and digital techniques to create visual narratives that are both observational and constructed.

Alongside her artistic practice, she also works in applied photography including portrait, product, editorial and event assignments and develops graphic design projects such as exhibition posters and visual identities for cultural initiatives. She holds a degree in photography from Folkwang University of Arts and previously co-ran the Essen-based offspace project DAS TATTOO, which was dedicated to emerging artistic voices and collective exhibition formats.
